The Point

The Point

The only guarantee we will ever have
in our lives is that everyone will die
but could there be an underlying point in all this?
It is a question that no one truly has the answer to.
Many believe the point in life is to reach the next "level"
and to do that they must follow a scripture of laws
What if they're wrong and there is nothing more
and they could have been happier in life
if they chose what they really wanted in life
even if it wasn't something they would ever think of doing
For me I believe that life really isn't worth living unless you are truly happy
Not a happy life in which you must lie to yourself
to make a fantasy world where you are believed to be happy
but truly happy with who you are, where you are, and with the one
that you can be yourself with, someone who is more than a best friend
Perhaps the point in life is much more complex,
but why not keep it as simple and guaranteed as possible
