Beeper's Chime
The beeper sounds, a distant chime,
But my mind is lost, in a different time.
With her, I'm lost in thought, it's true,
Wishing and hoping, that she's thinking of me too.
I wonder if she's close by,
If her thoughts of me, are soaring high.
If she's counting down the hours,
Till we're together, with love's powers.
The beeper's sound, a constant hum,
A reminder of the world I've left behind.
But my mind is focused, on what's real,
On the love that we share, a bond that's steel.
So, I'll wait for the day, that we'll meet again,
And our love will conquer, any kind of pain.
Till then, my love, I'll hold you close in my mind,
And the beeper's chime, will fade in time.
