Cry a River
Once we were friends, so carefree and light,
But now the pain courses, through my soul's sight.
A pain so deep, it cuts like a knife,
Leaving me wondering, the cause of this strife.
I've cried a river, trying to wash it away,
But the pain remains, with me every day.
It's a pain so vile, it leaves me in awe,
Making me question, why life can be raw.
But then I remember, her love shining bright,
A beacon of hope, in this endless night.
Her love is the reason, I push on with might,
For her love gives me strength, to fight.
So, I'll cry a river, and let the tears flow,
For her love, is the reason, I'll never let go.
With her by my side, I know I'll be alright,
For her love, is my guide, in this endless night.
