The Pain V2

The Pain 

With just a few simple words,

You shattered my heart in two,

A world once filled with light,

Now consumed by pain and blue.

The pieces of my soul,

Scattered and lost,

A future once so bright,

Now, at what cost?

My mind races with questions,

As I try to understand,

What went wrong and where,

Did I miss the signs, or simply not heed the plan?

But now, as I look back,

I see my mistake,

In the doubts and fears,

I failed to fully shake.

And though the pain still lingers,

I know I must heal and grow,

For in this moment of heartache,

I've come to realize what I need to know.
